Cycle along the wonderful lake front trail and see the beaches, lagoons, gardens, and architecture. Enjoy the views and look at the incredible Millennium Park, the world’s’ largest roof-top garden. Say ‘Hi’ to the animals as you pedal past the Zoo. See the ever-popular Navy Pier with its Ferris wheel and all the activity at North Avenue Beach.
This easy riding bike tour is fun for all the family.
The Lincoln Park Bike Tour – Chicago is a fun, family friendly bike tour round some of the most attractive parts of Chicago.
You will be issued with your bike and safety helmet and will then set off with your English-speaking guide to explore the lovely Lake Michigan shoreline.
You will follow the Lakefront Trail. The paved trail connects all of the city's beaches with the museums and parks. The going is easy and you can enjoy incredible views of the lake and the city’s magnificent architecture.
You will pass the stunning Millennium Park, completed in 2004 and the world’s largest roof-top garden. The roof covers two parking garages, a transit center and an indoor performance center. It incorporates landscape art, full-size trees and a skating rink.
You will see Navy Pier, Chicago’s top tourist attraction. Originally built to serve Lake Michigan freighters and provide transportation to other Great Lakes’ cities, the Pier is now a cultural and recreation center complete with Ferris wheel, musical carousel, miniature golf course, theater and much more.
You will pass Lincoln Park Zoo, (free admission) one of the oldest zoos in the US and home to 1200 animals, and see the beautiful Victorian glass Conservatory (free admission) nearby.
You will also see North Avenue Beach, Chicago’s most popular beach.
The bike tour covers a distance of around 8 miles (13 km) and your tour ends back at starting point.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour to confirm all details.
For your safety, please wear a helmet while riding and obey the rules of the road at all times.
Suitable for younger children as long as they can ride a bike safely.
Tours may be cancelled if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions. If your tour is cancelled you will get a refund or your tour will be re-scheduled.
