Overview

The Great Wall of China is the longest wall in the world and is a true feat of defensive architecture of the past.

Mutianyu is one of its longest sectors and although it is open to tourism, it is less crowded than other areas. See the impressive construction of the watchtowers and take a stroll along its winding path built on rugged terrain and surrounded by mountainous landscape. What's more, if you don't want to walk, you can choose to go up by cable car or chair lift (not included).

Back on the road, visit a jade carving shop and learn a little more about this typically Chinese gemstone, used to make the Beijing 2008 Olympic medals. Refuel with a tasty traditional Chinese lunch and grab your camera to what awaits you next.

Stand in front of the Beijing National Stadium, the main section of the Olympic Park, where most of the most iconic pavilions and structures rub shoulders. In the northwestern corner of the park is the Olympic Village, site of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. In the southern part, you can glimpse the Beijing National Aquatic Center, the Convention Center, the National Gymnasium and the Museum of Science and Technology from China. To the northwest of the National Stadium is the Linglong Tower, the tallest building in the Olympic Park.
