As you are driven towards the wine region of Penedès, the first stop is at the Codorníu Winery where you will enjoy a guided tour along with a trip on a small electric train along the underground cellars. You will also sample the home-grown Cava at the Codorníu Winery before proceeding to Montserrat, which is an hour’s drive from Barcelona. A part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range, Montserrat is known for its picturesque beauty and scenic landscapes. Enjoy a guided tour and hear the Children’s Choir (when available). There will be a break for lunch after which you will be driven back to the meeting point in time for the second leg of the tour. Gaudí – The Sagrada Família Tour: The tour starts at 3:15pm from the same meeting point. This tour will cover some of the architectural masterpieces of Antoni Gaudi, the famous Spanish Catalan architect. Admire his best known works like the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Enjoy a drive through Passeig de Gràcia, one of the world’s most luxurious avenues known for its unique architectural heritage and high-end shopping. As you drive past the most famous works of Gaudi, you will enjoy a guided tour of the Sagrada Familia, the unfinished temple of the genius architect Antoni Gaudí. Avoid long queues and enter the La Sagrada Familia, one of the most potent examples of architectural genius in the world. Though borrowing heavily from the cathedral-Gothic and Art Nouveau styles, the iconic church displays Gaudi’s very own unique and distinctive style.
