Meet your guide at your hotel in Bangkok and head to the trading hub and great capital – Ayutthaya, whose grassy plains emerge along the Chao Phraya River. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage site by bike and explore the impressive ruins around the place. Visit a European style Buddhist temple and trail through the off beaten path as you weave across Thailand’s treasures.
Explore the impressive Ayutthaya Historical Park and admire the architecture of grand stupas and chedis that guard these grounds. Cycling in and around the ancient city walls, you will see the towering chedi of Wat Yai Chaimongkol with a majestic statue of the reclining Buddha.
Tuck into delicious local delicacies and enjoy snacks and plenty of drinks along the way. Head next to the Wat Phra Mahatat famous for its picturesque tree roots that contain the Buddha relic embedded in it. See the beautiful remains of the Old Royal Palace and the jujube trees that still surround it. Gaze upon the impressive Wat Chaiwatthanaram that was built during the reign of King Prasat Thong as a memorial for his mother.
For the last leg of the tour, enjoy a serene ride to Wat Niwet Thamprawat and see the unique architecture of the European style temple in Thailand. After inhaling all the incredible sights, the bike tour comes to a close as you are dropped off at your hotel.
