Step up your Thai vacation with this enthralling tour to the historical city of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ancient city is a dream of an architectural marvel with the ruins being a clear indication of its enormous success as one of the biggest cities of its time. Complimented by a boat tour, a brush with contemporary Thai society and an exciting encounter with elephants, and you have epic day planned out for you!

We will take you to Ayutthaya from Bangkok in a private car where you can sit and relax to the serene music playing for you, before you get ready to satiate your wanderlust. Once we reach Ayutthaya, we will embark on a boat tour on the Chao Phraya River to visit two of the most popular temples standing tall with their spectacular relics and stunning Siamese chedis. Treat yourself to a dose of adrenaline feeding the Red Tail Catfishes as you witness hundreds of these magical creatures clustering near you and splashing about in the water.

Soak in the incredible vibe of the royal city at the two temples and regale in the fascinating anecdotes of this meeting point between the East and the West back in the days. Whether you are a cultural enthusiast or not, this journey through the ancient Thai social practices is sure to bewitch you, thanks to the innumerable historical records as well as local lore available about Ayutthaya.

Your heritage sojourn continues at the illustrious Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, which incidentally is an active temple and home to a number of Buddhist monks. This marvellous monument was restored as a celebration of the Siamese victory over the Burmese towards the end of the 17th century and people visit this monastery not just to pray to Lord Buddha but to pay homage to King Naresuan as well.

Once you have relished your rendezvous with royal history, it’s time for modernity! We will head to the Ayutthaya floating market where you can indulge in a delicious lunch and also observe the enigmatic frenzy of everyday life in this community. Enjoy a taste of the native Bangkok life as you behold the citizens passionately hawking their wares and cooking up a storm. Don’t forget to pick up some pretty little souvenirs for your loved ones back home!

Before we head back, we will pamper you with a little fun as well! You will be taken nearby to meet the local custodians, the majestic elephants of Ayutthaya. Gargantuan but gentle as a baby, sink in to their amazing intelligence and absolute warmth as you feed them and pose for cute photographs. We told you this is going to be one legendary day!
