Sail pass Bangkok’s historic sites like the Temple of Dawn, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace and the Royal Barges, looking spectacular under the night sky. Dine on some of the choicest traditional Thai dishes and listen to the gentle lapping of the waves against the rice barge.
This Loy Nava dinner cruise is an excellent combination of delicious food and exquisite sights and a must-see on any tourist list.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Bangkok/from the airport and driven in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the Riverside Pier to board the Loy Nava for a fascinating dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya river.
As soon as you board the Loy Nava, the only antique teakwood rice barge on the river in Bangkok, hostesses dressed in traditional clothes will welcome you in Thai style with a rose-water sprinkling ceremony.
Before dinner, you will be served a glass of cocktail to whet your appetite. For dinner, a variety of six-course set menus featuring a range of Thai dishes is laid on. Made using subtle spices and only the freshest produce, each menu has been crafted to cater for all palates and draws from Thailand's main gastronomic regions (North, Isaan, South and Central Plains). Enjoy your candle-lit dinner while listening to traditional kim music (Thai xylophone).
You will drift along the most historic section of the Chao Praya River whilst dining in style, en route passing magnificent landmarks like the Temple of Dawn, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace, and the Royal Barges. See some of the oldest buildings in Bangkok - some dating to the earliest Portuguese settlements - and experience the bustle of river traffic and commerce in this vital artery.
Watch Thai classical dancers perform their traditional art during the meal. After dinner, you will be served Havana cigars.
At the end of the dinner cruise, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Bangkok/ the airport.
