Overview

Calling all adventure junkies, Bali is not all about photo tours, sightseeing and temple hopping. Get ready for an adrenaline pumping experience when row row row your boat over the white waters of Ayung River. Follow it up with an enchanting excursion of Bali’s vivid green hills and scenic landscape in Ubud.

Here’s the plan…

Start your tour from your hotel and head to the rafting spot amid lush green jungles. The Ayung River offers Class II and III rapids which wind their way through deep valleys, past high waterfalls all by dense tropical rainforest and towering, jagged cliffs.

Trace your way through some of Bali’s scenic landscape as you take the river and paddle hard fighting the rapids. Your rafting experience will last for 3 hours, at the end of which you will take a short break and then head to Ubud for a sightseeing tour.

Your Ubud tour begins with a fascinating Sacred Monkey Forest, home to more than 700 long tailed macaques amid exotic jungles and historic temples. A leisurely walk around town follows as you observe the local life of the people of Ubud and visit a traditional market. You will stroll past Ubud Royal Palace, locally known as Puri Saren Ubud. The palace complex consists of traditional Balinese houses centred around an art market. In the meantime, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

You last stop in the tour will be the Tegenungan Waterfall before you head back to your hotel. Its astonishing landscape amid huge rocks and the surrounding overgrown area, hides it from plain sight. If lucky, you might spot rainbows formed by the sun rays over the cascading waters. Sit by the water or climb the rock for a brilliant view of the waterfalls.
