Day 1:
You will be picked up from Ayers Rock Airport or Uluru Resort at the scheduled time in the afternoon and driven to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Take in the rugged landscape of Central Australia and brace yourself for an action-packed day in the famous Aussie Outback. You will be taken directly to the Cultural Centre for an introduction to the Anangu community and the spiritual and religious significance of this site.
You will be taken on a tour of the base of Uluru, the spectacular giant red stone monolith that forms Australia’s iconic attraction. Later, experience the famous changing colours of Uluru at sunset as you enjoy some sparkling wine and nibbles.
Watching the sun set over Uluru is a truly unforgettable experience and an absolute must-do on any Red Centre tour. Tuck into a lovely dinner cooked on the campfire. To complete your day of outdoor adventures, you will camp out under the stars, sleeping in a swag.
Day 2:
Early mornings are truly magical in the desert. Start the day early and enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience of watching the sun rise over Uluru.
Enjoy a short drive to Kata Tjuta, another iconic Red Centre attraction. In the local Aboriginal language, Kata Tjuta roughly translates to "heads many". Characterised by its 36 steep-sided domes, Kata Tjuta’s rock domes extend 6 kms into the ground. The site today is what remains following the erosion that began more than 500 million years ago.
Embark on a thrilling hike through the magnificent Valley of the Winds and explore the beautiful wilderness of creek beds and striking domes. After the hike, you will be driven back to the airport or the resort.
