The America's Cup is the most prestigious yacht regatta in the world and this experience allows you to become the crew and participate in sailing on an authentic America's Cup yacht. Take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or sit back and enjoy the action on the beautiful Auckland Harbour. This experience is suitable for everyone, from experienced racers to the most apprehensive first-time sailor.

For lovers of water sports, this is a unique hands-on sailing experience in Auckland, 'City of Sails'.

Itinerary

The tour departs from the berth, inside Auckand's Viaduct Harbour at the end of Quay St, situated outside the Loaded Hog bar. You will need to report to the boat 15 minutes prior to departure.

Your two-hour America's Cup experience begins in Auckland's Viaduct Harbour where you will be met by the professional crew who will run you through a safety briefing.

Then board either NZL 40 or NZL 41, both 1995 generation current America's Cup class yachts, and head out of the old America's Cup Village, past the syndicates and Super yachts.

Outside the Viaduct, you can become fully involved with the operation of the yacht, hoisting the sails, exerting energy on the grinder and definitely getting that once in a lifetime photo while helming the yacht. Or just sit back and enjoy the action sailing down the beautiful Auckland Harbour.

The tour returns to the starting point.
