This short three-hour trip to Rhine Falls is perfect for nature-lovers! Rhine Falls is Europe's biggest waterfall, located in Northern Switzerland. The beautiful view of the countryside and breath-taking falls are a nice change from the snowy Swiss Alps.
Along the way, you'll pass through Switzerland's Wine Region, and see a 16th century castle. A multilingual guide will accompany you throughout the trip, pointing out and explaining significant sites.
You will board the coach for at the Sihlquai bus parking at Zurich's main train station. A guide who speaks English will accompany you throughout your trip.
The journey to Rhine Falls will take you through Northern Switzerland, close to the border of Switzerland and Germany. This area is famous for its vineyards, and is home to many small villages such as Schaffhausen - where the historical 16th century Munot Fortress is located - and Marthalen, a charming farming village.
Finally, you'll arrive at Europe's famous Rhine Falls. At 23 metres high and 150 metres long, Rhine Falls is Europe's biggest waterfall. If the magnificent view isn't enough, summer visitors can take a boat ride to a rock in the middle of the falls, an unforgettably beautiful - and unforgettably wet - experience.
After exploring the falls, you'll get back on the coach, taking a short trip through part of Germany before arriving back at your starting point in Zurich.
A passport is mandatory to book the Rhine Falls Tour, and will be checked when you board your coach.
Please call the local activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details.
This tour requires a minimum of 5 passengers to operate; there is a possibility that this tour may be cancelled after confirmation if minimum numbers are not met. Should this be necessary, you will be offered an alternate departure date or a full refund.
Boat ride in the Rhine basin is optional (Apr-Oct).
