Overview

Travel to the region of eternal snows on this two-day adventure tour from Zurich.

Journey through a picture-perfect landscape of lakes and mountain to lovely Lucerne. Spend some time exploring this charming city before beginning your mountain expedition.

Take the panoramic gondolas and aerial cableway to the summit of Mount Pilatus (7000ft/ 2132m) for an unforgettable overnight in the Alps.

Next day, there are many more adventures in store. Travel to magnificent Mt Titlis and enjoy a thrilling ride in the world's first ever revolving 'ROTAIR' gondola, which offers 360° panoramas of the Alps. See jaw dropping views of the glaciers and ice boulders. Visit the Ice Grotto, experience the new 'Ice Flyer' - chair lift ride over the glacier with fantastic views into crevasses and ice falls and enjoy a snow slide on the 'Fun Lift'.

This tour makes a perfect family minibreak with thrills for all ages.

Itinerary

Day 1: Zurich to Mt. Pilatus

For your two-day Mt Pilatus and Mt Titlis Tour From Zurich you should make your way to Sihlquai Bus Parking, near Zurich main railway station to meet your guide and transport. The tour departs at 9:30am so try to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure to check in and get settled in your seat.

From Zürich you will take a scenic coach journey through the beautiful countryside and along the Lake of the Four Cantons to Lucerne followed by a short city tour to see the main sights of Lucerne and view the Lion Monument. Enjoy some time at leisure to explore the charming old town before continuing to Kriens, from where you take the panoramic gondolas and aerial cableway to the summit of Mount Pilatus (7000ft/ 2132m).

On your way to the top, warm up in one of the cosy restaurants with a menu of your choice (please see additional information for detail). At the peak a mystical, white winter paradise awaits you with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lakes!

After check-in at your hotel you have the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and lakes or hike around the peak on a thrilling but secure footpath. In the evening your welcome drink and a 3-course seasonal dinner in one of the restaurants. Then enjoy a fairytale-like night’s sleep beneath a clear, starry sky. There is only one thing that is more beautiful than a night on Pilatus, and that is waking up next morning to a fabulous sunrise and unsurpassed views.

Day 2: Mt Titlis, Into the Alps, Back to Zurich

After enjoying a breakfast buffet you descend by aerial cable car to Kriens and take the public bus to Lucerne. At the Lucerne Tourist Information you will meet your tour guide for your excursion to the eternal snow and ice.

You will enjoy a scenic coach ride to Engelberg where the breathtaking journey to Mt Titlis begins. Catch spectacular views of deep glacial crevasses and gigantic ice boulders from the revolving cable car ROTAIR (the first one of its type in the world). At the top of Mt. Titlis, a high alpine panorama awaits you – the best in Central Switzerland. Enjoy magnificent views of the mountains from the restaurants (lunch is not included) or the sun terrace. Weather permitting, visit the Ice Grotto or take a ride with the IceFlyer which brings you close to the crevasses. Also enjoy the FunLiftsnowslide and Europe’s highest suspension bridge All included (weather permitting)! After this wintry experience you will travel back to Lucerne and continue to Zürich where your two day adventure ends.

The entire tour is accompanied by a professional, multi-lingual guide except the overnight stay on Mt. Pilatus and the descent to Lucerne the next morning. For this part you will receive detailed written information.

Your delightful tour ends back at the starting point in Zurich.

1st day is only partly guided. The tour to Lucerne and in Lucerne is guided. The way up Mt. Pilatus, including the lunch and the stay on the mountain is unaccompanied and guest stay on their own. They will get written, detailed information about program and schedule.

The tour operator reserves the right to change the program on Day 2 in case of inclement weather.
