    The Sultan’s Palace of Yogyakarta is one of the most interesting tourist landmarks in Java. Browse around the palace and you will come across centuries-old musical instruments and other antiques. If you’re lucky, you may see a royal wedding ceremony, or a Javanese classical cultural performance and puppet show which are often held in the palace.

    Take a trip to the Museum of Sonobudoyo and appreciate its excellent collection of Javanese art such as masks, wooden puppets, textiles, old musical instruments, weapons and leather among others. A visit to these popular tourist destinations in Yogyakarta will bring out the essence of city.

    You will be picked up at 0830h (08:30am) in an air conditioned coach from your hotel in Yogyakarta and taken on a guided tour of the following sites in Yogyakarta (also known as Jogja).

    Sultan's Palace of Yogyakarta: The palace was founded by Prince Mangkubumi in 1755. Javanese classic dancing rehearsal, royal wedding ceremonies, puppet show, and other Javanese cultural performances are often held here.

    Museum of Sonobudoyo: The building is constructed in the classical style of Indonesia and houses an impressive collection of Javanese art and craft.

    If time permits, you may also visit the centre of craftsmanship in gold and silver, Java's finest batik (a fabric which is hand-dyed with wax) cloth and 'wayang kulit' leather puppets.

    After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Yogyakarta.
