Overview

Lying to the south of the city of Valencia is the Albufera region. Its freshwater lagoon is an important natural reserve for the surrounding areas. Three canals (two natural and a third man-made) connect the lagoon and surrounding wetlands with the sea, and each has its own characteristic flora and fauna.

La Albufera is an important stopover point for migratory birds and a nesting area for resident birds. This scenic region is a must see for lovers of wildlife.

The Albufera Bus Turistic follows a route that takes you past all regional highlights and includes a cruise on the Albufera Lagoon. This ticket is flexible and can be used whenever you wish. There are 7 departures a day.

Itinerary

This coach tour starts from Plaza de la Reina and takes you to some of the most beautiful areas just outside of Valencia. Your ticket is valid for one trip.

Your coach will take you to El Saler. A slim strip of coastline which protects Albufera from the sea. On this strip of land, sand dunes have formed, and there is also a Mediterranean pine forest growing in sandy soil with rich shrubbery.

After visiting El Saler the tour takes you to the Albufera Natural Park. The Park consists of a lagoon, wetlands around it and the adjacent shorelines. It is a paradise for migratory birds.

Your ticket includes a return boat ride across to the Albufera lagoon. This famous lagoon is an important wetland and birds of passage love to feed in its surrounding rice fields.

El Palmar: Is a must for those who are looking for the most beautiful scenery around Valencia.

After this splendid tour of the beautiful Albufera region, you will return to Valencia where the tour concludes.
