Overview

Bodegas Monje, with its views of El Teide, sits proudly in the rolling countryside of La Hollera, overlooking the municipality of El Sauzal in the north of Tenerife. Since 1750, the Monje family have been producing wine and now, the fifth generation are at the helm. Oak barrels and modern maceration systems coexist creating the special character and flavour of our red, white and rosé wines, making them an essential accompaniment to Canarian cuisine.

The winery also hosts cultural, gastronomic and leisure activities uniting cultural trends with its rich heritage. Awaken your senses and discover our heritage with a wine tasting. Learn how we produce our wine and taste a selection of canapés made from local, artisanal produce. Our terrace restaurant; with its spectacular views of El Teide, the vineyard and the sea, is open every day except Mondays. English, Spanish, German, Dutch and French.

Option 4 wines 4 cheeses – A glass of Dragoblanco (young white wine) accompanied by a fresh white goats cheese from Tenerife. A glass of Hollera (red wine produced using carbonic maceration) accompanied by smoked goats cheese from La Palma. A glass of MonjeTradicional (young red wine) accompanied by a semi-cured peppery goats cheese from Fuerteventura. A glass of Listan Negro (Red, aged in the barrel) accompanied by a cured goats and sheep milk cheese from Gran Canaria .
