Itinerary

  • You will be picked up from your hotel at the scheduled time in the evening for a trip to the quaint old towns and old streets of Yingge and Sanxia.

Explore Sanxia (Sansia), a traditional district located in northern Taiwan, a short distance from Taipei. Step back and experience how the market towns in old Taiwan must have been like. The street was once an economic powerhouse, but has still retained its flavour. The architecture consists of red brick buildings with hallways connected by small lanes. The areas around Minquan Street, Heping Street, Ren’ai Street and Zhongshan Road and the historical shops and alleys are still intact today.

Visit the town of Yingge with your guide and gain insight into Taiwan's pottery-making heritage. Yingge Old Street, also known as Ceramic Street, is famously known for its potteries. Make your way through the maze of pottery shops and admire the profusion of vibrant hues and designs. You can also look through stalls selling wooden handicrafts. You can also learn how to make pens from natural wood (at additional cost).

After the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel.
