Immerse yourself in the varied topography that provides a nourishing habitat for flora and fauna. You also visit the Taroko National Park which is famous for its spectacular mountains and marble canyons. As you continue onward, you come across the Amis Folk Center so take this opportunity to experience Amis traditional culture and observe the unique lifestyle of the Amis.
More natural wonders awaits at the tallest peak, Qingshui Mountain which rises 2408 meters directly from the Pacific Ocean! After your escapades with natural beauty, it's time to sit back and relax with a dram of whisky at the King Car Kavalan Distillery which is the first whisky distillery in Taiwan. Your four day itinerary is packed with this and more as your expert guide leads you through Eastern Taiwan.

Depart from Taipei and head to the first stop of the day which takes you to the East Coast National Scenic Area also known as "Taiwan's last unspoiled land," which stretches 170 kilometers! To the east it is bounded by the Pacific Ocean; to the west rises the Coastal Mountain Range. The varied topography of this area provides habitat for a rich diversity of flora and fauna.
Continue onward to the Amis Folk Center and behold the lookout that can hold two thousand people at a time. It is a great place to experience Amis traditional culture and observe the unique lifestyle of the Amis. After exploring the area, you spend the night resting at Taitung.
Depart from Taitung for a full day exploration of East Rift Valley which is packed with highlights. Behold the abundance of plant life in the East Rift Valley which is where the Eurasian and the Philippine tectonic plates collide, resulting in the creation of many fault lines.
Head next to the Luye Gaotai highland which sits at an elevation of 350 meters! The unique geographical conditions offer an ideal location for tea cultivation, and paragliding. Continue onwards to Mr. Brown Avenue & Taitung's Takeshi Kaneshiro tree, and find out what makes them famous TV commercials!
Wrap up you first day adventures at Matai'an Wetland Ecological Park which is the biggest natural wetland in Hualien and also the traditional homeland of the Ami people. Spend the night in Hualien.
Day 3 takes you to Taroko National Park famous for its spectacular mountains and marble canyons and the special geography has also bred special flora and fauna in this area. As you drive along the Swallow Grotto trail which runs about a half kilometer starting from the entrance to Swallow Grotto to the Jinheng Bridge, you can enjoy the sights of the Liwu River from nearly straight above the water and see the famous rock formation "Chieftain's profile rock".
More natural wonder awaits at the tallest peak, Qingshui Mountain which rises 2408 meters directly from the Pacific Ocean. The Qingshui cliff is considered to be a very scenic area and is the highest coastal cliff in Taiwan. The day comes to a close as you head to Jiaoxi where you spend the night.
Fuel up for the day with some breakfast and depart Jiaoxi heading towards the National Center for Traditional Arts. This new 24-hectare facility is located beside beautiful Dongshan River in Yilan. In addition to organized displays and performances of culture and art, it also provides a stage where performing artists can show off their creative works. The emphasis here is on the continuous propagation, innovation, and renewal of traditional arts.
Thereafter, head to King Car Kavalan Distillery which is the first whisky distillery in Taiwan. Sit back, relax and enjoy tasting the different types of whiskey. The last leg of the tour takes you to King Car Yuanshan Orchid Garden well-known for orchid breeding cultivation. King Car Orchid Garden is the biggest orchid garden in Northern Taiwan, with a greenhouse that covers an area of 28,231 square meters and cultivates 1,300,000 orchid plants. Treat your eyes to this colorful wonder before heading back to Taipei where the 4-day adventure comes to a close.
