Spend time in one of the most picturesque zoos in the world, the Singapore Zoo. This is the perfect opportunity to discover over 2,800 animals from over 300 species of mammals, birds and reptiles that roam freely in open enclosures resembling their natural habitats, separated from visitors only by moats and wooden fencing. Set in the most scenic wildlife environments in the world, the award-winning zoo also boasts the world's first free-ranging orangutan habitat in a zoo!
Here’s the plan…
You’ll be picked up by a Tour East driver from your hotel (or a handy nearby meeting point) bright and early. You’ll make a quick pit stop at the tour’s official starting point. Here, you’ll meet your guide for the day and hop onto the air-conditioned coach, which will be taking you to Singapore Zoo. The drive from the city to the zoo takes around 45-55 minutes all up. Along the way, your guide will run you through the morning’s plans, and reveal a few facts, as well as some personal anecdotes, about Singapore and its famous zoo.
With breakfast option: Make your way to the Ah Meng terrace restaurant, where a stunning breakfast spread, and a few furry friends, await. Asian dishes along with your standard hot English breakfast options are all served up buffet-style at the restaurant, alongside fruit, cakes, cereals and fresh fruit juices. All the bites are super yummy, and second and third servings are encouraged. Once you’ve plated up your food, you’ll grab a table right by the orangutans’ platform, where they’ll be eating their own brekky just next to you. During the breakfast, the zookeepers on-site tell you more about these orangutans and allow time for all sorts of pics near the animals, too. Really, though, the joy of this experience lies in being so close to these beautiful, intelligent animals.
Without breakfast option: Explore on your own before meeting back up with the guide and group for optional guided tours. After breakfast, enjoy a tram ride around the zoo, check out the seal show (it’s hilarious, especially for little ones) and see the amazing species roaming here. Your guide will run a tour through the main parts of the zoo or, depending on what you fancy seeing, you can explore the zoo and see the animals on your own, and meet the group at the end of the experience back on the coach.
Your tour ends after four hours. Following this, you’ll be transferred back to the city and your hotel. Your entrance ticket lasts for the day, so if you’d like to spend more time at the zoo, you can say goodbye to the group and guide at the zoo grounds and make your own way back to your hotel. Just be sure let your guide know beforehand. Happy exploring!
Please note that the breakfast option is unavailable till further notice.
Voucher information: No need to print! You can show your voucher on your smartphone or other devices. (But if you’d rather print a copy – that’s fine too!)
The confirmation voucher includes Tour East’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give the Tour East team a call at least 24 hours before the tour’s due to kick off to confirm all the final details.
Don’t worry about printing your booking voucher - just show your voucher on your mobile device to your Tour East guide when you get to the meeting point on the day.
Unfortunately, not all hotels are included within the pick-up zone. In that case, the Tour East team will suggest a convenient meeting point where they can pick you up from.
Singapore Zoo has specific times for animal feeding. For some of the smaller animals, you’re able to purchase small packets of food from the zookeeper and feed them, just make sure you follow the instructions from the zookeepers.
The tour timings and duration may shift depending on traffic conditions.
There will be no Rainforest Fights Back Show & Splash Safari show on 5 Sept 19 due to maintenance work at the Shaw Foundation Amphitheatre in Singapore Zoo.

Great Experience as is Singapore a great country !...
Great tour, great tour guide. Makes the orangutan breakfast easy to access. Recommend the zoo regardless.
