The tour starts from Inside the Paccar Pavilion by the café, at the Olympic Sculpture Park 2901 Western Avenue..
You will be accompanied by your English speaking photographer-cum-guide, who specializes in travel photography.
Start with the new Olympic Sculpture Park and experience a variety of sculpture in an outdoor setting, while enjoying the incredible views and beauty of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Learn different approaches to photographing sculpture and interpreting light, frame scenes and composition.
Walk over to The Pike Place Market where entertaining fish sellers toss fish, local artists sell from open air tables and farmers sell their colourful produce. Learn how to shoot environmental portraits, still life.
Shoot the street performers, vibrant flower stands and tarot readers. You can try Seattle's famous coffee and snacks (payable direct) in the cafes.
Stop at Puget Sound alive with ferry boats, with the Olympic Mountains forming a majestic background.
Venture down to Pioneer Square, which is the oldest part of the city. On the way, pass the Seattle Art Museum and the Harbour steps while gaining an interesting insight into architectural photography. Pioneer Square has old brick buildings that house galleries, artist studios, music clubs, and restaurants. This is a great place for street photography and shooting in black and white.
At the end of the session your photographer-guide will review some of the photos taken (if you are carrying a digital camera). You will have learnt the basics of composition, the importance of light in photography, how to take balanced and attractive images, and simple techniques to take "creative" images.
The tour ends at The Elliot Bay Bookstore.
