Overview

The tour to Rama Lake departs from Sarajevo. During the trip our professional guide will tell you the interesting stories about the sites like city of Konjic and Jablanica which we will pass and if you want make a short break to take pictures of them. Our destination is the beautiful and artificial Rama Lake which is located in the upper Rama valley on the north of Herzegovina, in today’s Prozor-Rama municipality. It was formed in 1968. After a short walk and discovering the Rama Lake, we will have a local lunch and meet traditional customs of this area.

Then we will visit Prozor which is small mountain town with not much to do than walk around and check out life in this beautiful town. Pass the Nuhefendica Mosque (Carsijska Mosque) and see Sahat Kula (clock tower) dating from 1700. The clock did not have hands, so noon used to be signaled by striking bells. Just down the road from Prozor is our next stop – village of Duge, meaning Rainbow.

Duge is blessed with an immense water supply and a powerful waterfall called Duge Falls. It is called Rainbow because as the wanted plummets over 30m to the rocks below the mist mixes with the rays of the sun and almost always creates a rainbow. There we will have a break and take some pictures while drinking cold drinks or traditional Turkish coffee in a beautiful nature.
