Take in the vibrant Tijuana, head to Puerto Nuevo to indulge in its legendary lobster specialities and explore the booming beach community at Rosarito Beach. This tour is a fantastic opportunity to discover three of Northern Mexico’s most interesting locations whilst experiencing the stunning landscapes as you make your way between each stop.
First stop is Tijuana, Mexico’s fourth largest city and home of the busiest border crossing in the world. Take a cultural sightseeing tour of the area and explore the Cultural Center, the Tijuana Bullring, Zoo and Tower before checking out the shops on the bustling Avenida Revolucion. With over 400 different types of shops, this street is the main shopping mecca south of the border and you are sure to find plenty of bargains and souvenirs.
Proceed to Puerto Nuevo, once a small fishing town but now famous throughout the region for its selection of over 50 different delicious lobster restaurants. You will stop for lunch in one of the most respected establishments to enjoy the traditional deep fried Pacific lobster with unlimited rice and beans and a complimentary welcome margarita. After lunch you will explore the pristine beaches and listen to a local mariachi band.
End this unforgettable tour at Rosarito Beach, once considered the Mexican Hollywood in the 1920s and now a flourishing beach town and a haven for outdoor pursuits. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the beaches, go horseback riding or take an ATV trek along the sandy beaches before heading back to San Diego.
