Overview

Go behind the scenes for an in depth look at San Diego’s rich brewing heritage and sample some of the city’s finest local beers and ales. Take in the sights of Downtown San Diego and tour three of the city’s leading breweries in order to learn the fascinating process behind the production of their signature craft ales and beers. Visit the Karl Strauss Brewery, the Yard House and Beer Company before finishing the tour by ascending to the Andaz Sky Deck for fantastic panoramic views over San Diego.

Begin the tour at the Karl Strauss Brewery, where for twenty five years they have been locally producing the finest craft beers and Indian Pale Ales. Using techniques learned from the world’s top brewing school in Munich, this brewery pioneered the craft ale scene in San Diego and to this day remains at its forefront. Taste a variety of beers and listen to your expert guide as they list the ingredients and techniques used to produce the range of different flavours.  

Proceed to the Yard House where you will be able to sample a variety of international brews. Showcasing beers from all over the United States and all over the world, this is the perfect opportunity to broaden your horizons and taste the world of beer out there. Then make your way to Beer Company and delight in their vast range of tap beers before ending the tour at the unforgettable Andaz Sky Deck to admire the views and take pictures looking over Downtown San Diego.
