  • Overview & Itinerary
Overview This truly magical tour in snowy Lapland has something for all the family.

At a reindeer farm meet the gentle animals essential to Lapland’s traditional culture. Enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride across crisp snow (see if you can resist singing “Jingle Bells”) and both adults and children can go snowmobiling. When you cross the Arctic Circle you will receive a special diploma.

At lunch in a cosy restaurant you can sample local delicacies before setting off for Santa's Village. Here you can shop, and mail postcards at Santa's own Post Office.

Ever wondered how Santa gets down chimneys and reaches everyone's home in one day? Before meeting Santa himself -the high spot of the tour - you will get the chance to learn his top secrets.

The exciting Santa Claus Family Safari starts at Koskikatu 1, 96200 Rovaniemi. Board your vehicle and set out with your English speaking guide.

Your first stop will be at a reindeer farm. The Sami (Laps) have practiced reindeer herding since the 17th century and use the deer for food, clothing, trade and transport.

Enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride and take part in a ceremony to celebrate crossing the Arctic Circle. This is the line of latitude north of which the sun does not rise on the winter solstice, or set on the summer solstice.

At the farm you can also try the thrill of snowmobiling. For children there are miniskidoos and adults can use full-size skidoos.

The farm visit is followed by lunch.

After lunch you will visit Santa Claus Village with its handicraft shops and Santa's Post Office, where you can send mail using Santa's own stamps.

As the high point of the tour you'll meet that well-loved character Santa Claus and find out how he manages his huge work-load.

The tour ends at the starting point.
