Explore the wild, snow-covered forests of Northern Finland on a Lapland Hiking Tour!
Welcome to the wild and rugged beauty of Lapland! The whole of Lapland is roughly the size of Belgium, Switzerland and Holland put together! Sparsely inhabited by humans, the population of reindeer is almost the same as the number of people here. During the winter, snow covers the whole forest in unimaginable beauty, while the Aurora Borealis lights the way. And, in the summer, the midnight sun brings the Arctic back to life. So, strap your snowshoes on because there’s always plenty to see in the Lappish wilderness!
Lapland is perhaps one of Europe’s last true wildernesses and many people make multiple returns because they have fallen in love with the place. Maybe you’ll fall in love with Lapland during your Finland vacation. On your Lapland Hiking Tour, you will go for a short hike in Vaattunki area. Walk through the slumbering, snow-covered forests on snowshoes. Reach otherwise inaccessible places due to your fancy footwear. And, your guide will fill you in on the traditional culture and local animals that call this place home. You will also get a chance to sit by a campfire and share stories. Then, in the middle of this winter wonderland, dine on traditional Lappish fare, such as arctic fish soup, pork sausages, and blueberry tea! If you want to experience the beauty of nature in the Arctic, the Lapland Hiking Tour is what to do in Finland.
