Itinerary
Meet your friendly driver at the doorstep of your hotel in Georgetown or Batu Feringghi and embark on this Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si Temple Tour.
Visit the Kek Lok Si Temple, one of the largest and most beautifully built Buddhist temples in South East Asia, also known as the temple of 'Ten Thousand Buddhas'. Witness the 7 tier pagoda of the 10,000 Buddhas that is a blend of Chinese, Thai and Burmese architecture and craftsmanship. Marvel at the 30-metre tall bronze statue of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and the sacred ‘Pond of Longevity’ which houses hundreds of tortoises, a symbol of longevity, strength and endurance in the Chinese culture!
Next, rise up to 800 metres above sea level to the Penang Hill or Bukit Bendera via the popular funicular train! Enjoy the exciting ride and feel a considerable decrease in temperature and humidity at the top of the hill. Admire the breathtaking panoramic views of Georgetown, the beautiful capital of Penang. Take this opportunity to appreciate the splendid flora and fauna of Penang Hill, Malaysia’s oldest hill station and a much-preferred retreat for local and world-wide tourists.
