Your hotel in Penang.
Formerly known as Penang Butterfly Farm, the newly revamped farm - Entopia offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of a tropical sanctuary.
The Botanic Gardens, opened in 1884, is popularly known as the “Waterfall Gardens”. Set in 29 acres of lush greenery it is Penang’s natural heritage. Besides being the storehouse for Malaysia’s unique flora it also serves as the ‘green lung’ for urban Penang.
Penang is an island and is also the second smallest state in Malaysia. The place offers memorable sights and sounds and activities. It is the oldest British settlement in Malaysia.
You will be picked-up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle for this interesting half day tour designed for the nature lovers including a visit to the Entopia and the Botanic Gardens.
Leave Georgetown and experience Penang's natural landscapes and beautiful gardens. See over 50 different species of vibrant coloured butterflies of Malaysian breed surrounding the greenhouse as you take a stroll through the way.
Then move onto the Botanical Gardens, created in 1884 as a nursery for the planting of tropical plants. The Botanic Gardens on Penang are located at the end of Waterfall Road; about 8 kilometres form the Georgetown city centre. You'll be fascinated by the many interesting tropical plants across this 72-acre garden, but do watch out for the free-roaming, long-tailed Macaque monkeys!
At the entrance of the Gardens you will see the Rain Tree also known as the “5 o’clock Tree” because its leaves droop in the evening. The many green houses in the Gardens house a variety of plants. The best is the Orchid House where you will be amazed with the number of dazzling orchids of countless shapes, colours and sizes.
At the end of this nature tour you will be dropped off at your hotel.
