Deep in the heart of the Latin Quarter, a garden can be found. Beautiful and elegant. A jewel in Paris’s crown! If you love your gardens, then the Luxembourg gardens are calling you. Take a pleasant stroll, learn the history and take in the stunning beauty of one of Paris’s green jewels. The tour takes you into the former garden of Queen Marie de Médicis' palace. Considered as one of Paris’s green jewels. You’ll learn about the history of the gardens, you’ll explore the French and English gardens, admire the Medicis fountain and discover a sculpture or three! It may be a gentle stroll through a stunning garden, but this is a tour to embrace the green spaces, see rare plants and trees and enjoy a different side to Paris. A green side.
About your guide
For Meeting the French, touring the Eiffel tower is 'old school'. They don't herd you onto a bus and have you driven to the famous sights. Enter into one of Paris’s green jewels! For this is a sparkling tour for any green-fingered lover. A two-hour stroll in one of the gardens of Paris.
With your guide on hand to give you all the background details. From the history to the function of the gardens. You’ll explore the former garden of Queen Marie de Médicis'. A garden with European influences, diverse, with many rare species. You'll see the French and English gardens. The Medicis fountain, the quincunxes, as well as some remarkable trees. You’ll also be shown some of the sculptures and given their background stories.
This is a pleasant stroll in one of Paris’s prettiest green spaces. A chance to see natural beauty in the heart of the busy city. A tour for the senses.

This gardens tour is adults and older children-only. Little ones under the age of 5 years will have to sit this one out, we’re afraid.
