Itinerary

If you love French food then this Paris Gourmet Walking Tour is the perfect way to spend a morning in the French capital.

With your guide, you will set off through the medieval streets of the Latin Quarter. This lively part of Paris has been a center for academic institutions since the Middle Ages. It gets its name from the Latin language that was spoken by the medieval students. Today it is still a student area but is also full of bistros and wonderful food shops.

Your 3-hour tour takes you through a market full of the mouth-watering sights and smells of fresh produce, and to a cheese dairy. You will also stop at several bakeries and confectionery shops. Tastings will include foie gras, wine, cheese, bread and a seasonal specialty.

This is a small group tour so you will have plenty of personal attention from your expert foodie guide. The commentary will include an overview of French culinary habits, a description of any seasonal events taking place at the time of your tour and an introduction to selected specialties in the shops. Your guide will discuss how these specialties are produced, how to choose and store the produce, and how to prepare your own gourmet recipes. You are encouraged to ask as many questions as you like.
