Climb your way to the second level of the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a journey as wonderful and action-packed as the destination!
Begin the journey of climbing the 704 steps over 30 flights. There might be a line to the stairs but it will be much shorter than the waiting line in front of the elevator. During the first leg of your climb, learn about the French civil engineer Gustave Eiffel, who built the Eiffel Tower. Once you reach the first level, learn some fun facts about the iconic tower as you take a stroll. Know about the tower's original colour, twinkling lights and individuals who made history with their daredevil stunts.
Stand on the new glass floor, and experience the world of the tower via a multimedia interactive exhibit and short film, if time permits. Browse through your free "Follow Gus" activity booklet, enjoy a snack or rest before you continue on your way.
Start climbing the stairs to the second level and bask in your unique achievement. Enjoy spectacular views around you and behold Paris from a fabulous vantage point, with your feet far above the ground. Your guide will inform you about the monuments and districts such as Montparnasse, Les Invalides, the Sacre-Coeur, Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées.
After enjoying the panoramic views, you can take an elevator back to the ground floor. Continue sightseeing on your own for the rest of the day.
