Overview

Have you got a nose for good wine or a tasty cheese? If not, fear not, for now, you can develop those skills with a cheese and wine tasting experience. In a charming Parisian wine bar, this late afternoon 1 ½ hour session is the perfect way to discover your wine and cheese tasting palate. Specialists will prompt and guide you to match wines with cheeses, develop your palate and understand the nature of these most complex food and drink varieties. They will also get you to trust your taste, satisfying your curiosity while you have fun (why not it’s wine and cheese!) Don’t be afraid to ask questions, if you have any, you’ll be glad you did. All done in a relaxing fun-filled atmosphere.

About your guide:

For Meeting the French, touring the Eiffel tower is 'old school'. They don't herd you onto a bus and have you driven to the famous sights. Oh no, they focus on intimate and original experiences which celebrate the French lifestyle and culture, helping you to see the real Paris. The city they call home.

Here’s the plan…

Along the canal St Martin you’ll enter a charming wine bar. Over the next one and a half hours, a winemaker and cheese specialist will take your palate and nose on a magical taste and smell tour.

You’ll taste three kinds of wine and two types of cheese. You’ll get to understand the many (there are lots!) of associations between wine and cheese. As you go, ask questions to find out about the winemaking process from grape varieties to the techniques they use.

By the end, you’ll have tasted heavenly cheese, drank stunning wine and found your nose! (For a glass of wine that is).
