Overview

Visit WWII’s most emblematic sites in Normandy on a private tour from Paris, accompanied by an expert driver guide.

On June 6, 1944, called "D Day", thousands of the Allied Powers’ troops reached Normandy’s beaches to liberate France from Axis control during World War II. It was the largest military operation in history and heralded the beginning of the Battle of Normandy that would lead to the end of the war. More than 150,000 American, British, and Canadian soldiers and many other nationalities landed by sea and air on different beaches of Normandy (Utah Beach, Omaha Beach...), as well as at Pointe du Hoc.

Your journey begins with Utah Beach. Then visit Sainte Mère l'Eglise and Airborne Museum. Visit the beaches of Omaha Beach, called "The Beach of blood" and one of the strong points of the German fortifications on the Normandy coast, equipped at the time with many heavy artillery pieces. It was the beach where the Allies lost the most troops during the landing.

Explore the famous St. Lawrence American Military Cemetery, housing 9387 white marble headstones, the memorial, a chapel, and the garden of the missing. Pay tribute to the American soldiers who died in the Battle of Normandy during the war. It is one of the 25 permanent U.S. burial sites overseas.
