Overview
Discover the charming city of Bruges, fondly nicknamed the ‘Venice of the North’, on a day trip from Paris.
Leave the tour operator’s office at 7:15am and travel to Bruges in an air-conditioned bus. You will be reaching at around 11am, after which you can choose to have a meal at a local restaurant. Be sure to taste traditional Belgian food, such as moules-frites, carbonade flamande, Bruges pork fillet, salmon with asparagus, waffles, and other delicacies.
Explore the canals, cobbled streets, and medieval buildings of Bruges at your own pace. Admire the Gothic architecture of the historic medieval city center, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy informative audio commentary as you explore Bruges’s most prominent monuments: The Markt, the Belfry of Bruges standing tall in the former market hall, the 13th-century Church of Our Lady and its striking red-brick tower, the Beguinage (a Benedictine monastery) and the impressive City Hall.
Don’t miss out on savoring the famous Belgian chocolate and visiting museums that house illustrious Flemish artwork and local artisan craft.
You will leave Bruges at 4:30pm and arrive at the local operator’s office in Paris at 9pm.
