Visit of Nakuru lake on the Rift Valley

The magnificent park is situated in the Rift Valley and is home to a plethora of magnificent creatures, including the endangered black rhino, the majestic Rothschild's giraffe, and the enigmatic leopard. You will also have the incredible opportunity to spot the park's famous flamingos, which flock to the lake in their thousands!

Your incredible tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi and a drive to the park. And there's more! Along the way, you'll also be able to enjoy the incredible views of the Rift Valley, with its magnificent rolling hills and abundant green foliage. Once you arrive at the park, located 160km (100 miles) from Nairobi, the fun really begins! You'll be able to explore the area on a game drive, where you'll have the chance to spot the park's many amazing animals.

Flamingo concentrations vary according to the season. Lake Nakuru, shallow and alkaline, situated on the bed of the Great Rift Valley, has earned its fame as the home of the greatest bird spectacle in the world, a myriad of often more than a million pink flamingos which seasonally use the site to feed on the abundant algae which thrive in its shallow warm waters.
