This tour will depart from Starbucks Coffee, Pilatusstrasse 1, 6003 Lucene. Starbucks Coffee is across the street of Lucerne train station, in the same building as Hotel Monopol. The meeting point is inside the lounge of Starbucks Coffee and clear signposting will be provided. Click here for directions & map

Tour ends at the Lucerne Tourist Information
After reaching the top, take in the breathtaking scenery of the snow-capped Alps blending with the clear blue sky.
You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach and taken to Kriens, accompanied by a multi-lingual guide speaking English, Spanish and German.
Kriens is a municipality in the district of Lucerne, at the foot of Mount Pilatus. From Kriens, take a panorama gondola and cable-car ride (about 40 minutes) to the summit of Mount Pilatus, at an altitude of 2132 metres. From the top, enjoy magnificent views of the Alps, the surrounding mountains and lakes. Take the Dragon Path, an easy stroll through the rock gallery on Mount Pilatus. Lunch will be now on Top of Mt. Pilatus at the self-serving restaurant Bellevue. You are at leisure for about 1½ hours on Mount Pilatus to enjoy the scenery and take up short hikes.
Menu 1: Swiss alpine cheese pasta called “Älplermagronen”.
Menu 2: Swiss sausage and Rösti (potato dish)
Menu 3: Asian vegetarian dish with rice and vegetables
Additionally for all three choices we include new: 1 Swiss chocolate biscuits bar.
After the tour, take the cable-car back to Kriens. From Kriens, board your coach for a return journey to Lucerne. The tour ends at the Lucerne Tourist Information Center.

During winters if a mountain has to close the cable cars/ cogwheel trains because of bad weather, there are two possible situations:
If the news is received BEFORE the coach has left for the tour, you have below options:
Postponing the tour to another day
Changing the booking to another mountain (generally no refund because the tour is fully guided)
Not taking any tour and get full refund
If the news is received AFTER the coach has left, you have below option:
Changing the booking where you will be taken to another mountain (no refund, because the tour is fully guided)
This tour is not available from 17th of November until 31st of March due to new building of the aerial cable car from Fräkmünttegg to Pilatus Kulm
The Cogwheel train and boat operate from early May until October (depending on the snow conditions, prior/post this date the tour is held according winter program). The boat operates until late October.
01 Apr- 02 May: Roundtrip by aerial cable car, without boat cruise to Lucerne (lunch included as a compensation for boat cruise).
03 May - 31 Aug: Roundtrip by aerial cable car and cogwheel train, boat cruise to Lucerne.
01 Sept - 19 Oct: Roundtrip by cogwheel train and boat cruise to Lucerne.
20 Oct - 16 Nov: Roundtrip by cogwheel train and public train to Lucerne (lunch included as compensation for boat cruise).
