    Overview

Enjoy a delightful introduction of Kuala Lumpur’s scenic countryside, a stark contrast from the city’s futuristic modern living. Experience the rural lifestyle and learn the inner secrets of making pewter and batik drawing. Take in the beauty of the colourful display of Hindu dieties in their limestone caves. Enjoy a sightseeing experience that combines scenic beauty, local handicrafts, religion, traditions and more.

    Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur and driven to the city’s suburbs.

Drive past quaint villages, cultural sites and picturesque landscapes as you cruise along the Ambassador Row, Istana Sharif Ali and Malay villages and hit the suburbs.

The key attractions where you will stop at are:

Royal Selangor – The world’s renowned makers of fine pewter since 1885. A guided tour of the world’s biggest pewter centre will fascinate you as you observe how raw materials are shaped into the most exquisite pewter designs. Marvel at the process casting, moulding, hammering, engraving and polishing.

Batik Design Centre – Batik or wax painting is an ancient Malaysian art form. Both hand drawn and block printing methods are demonstrated here. See how a piece of white cloth is transformed into colourful and exquisite design material. Batu Caves/Hindu Temples – An iconic attraction of Selangor, Batu Caves is a massive limestone outcrop that is also the site of a yearly Hindu religious festival called Thaipusam. At the base of the outcrop lies a small Hindu shrine displaying various Hindu deities. The Cathedral Cave is the largest and most popular cavern in Batu Caves and is a must-visit for its spectacular scenic beauty.

At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off to your hotel.
