Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Torun, a town with some of the best -preserved gothic residential complexes with tenement houses retaining their original interior arrangement. Explore 13th and 14th century cathedrals and enjoy splendid views of the city.
Torun is the birthplace of the great Polish astronomer, Nicolaus Copernicus, who made the crucial discovery that the Earth is not the centre of universe. Visit his home which is considered to be one of the most splendid examples of urban Gothic architecture.
Your English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Gdansk in the morning. You will be transferred to Torun in a private vehicle.
• Arrive at Torun.
• Walk along the Old Town area.
• Visit the Copernicus House.
• Climb the Town Hall Tower, from which an unforgettable view of the Old Town spreads.
• Indulge in some gingerbread tasting, a speciality that is baked according to recipes and methods dating back to the 16th century.
You will be dropped back to your hotel in Gdansk.
The Copernicus House and the Cathedral are closed on Monday.
