Take a stroll around Torridon, which has been leading the list of one of the most picturesque villages of Scotland. Zip around hairpin bends and stunning winding trails with scenic views on tail as you drive through Applecross. Behold the majestic Eilean Donan Castle that sits on the junction of three beautiful lochs and was once the stronghold of Scots dating back to the 13th century.
Start the tour bright and early from Inverness bus station where you board the comfortable Mercedes mini coach.
Head westward as your experienced driver takes you towards Kinlochewe and the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve. Beinn Eighe Ridge's majestic presence is impressive as it opens up to the world renowned Loch Maree that houses the infamous Golden Eagle. Druids from thousands of years ago believed in the curing powers of Loch Maree for lunacy and ailments.
As you head further down through Torridon and move towards Shieldaig, witness some of Europe’s most dramatic mountain scenery, ancient geology and scenic wilderness. This Torridan village by the coast is well known by countless visitors around the world ranging from climbers, photographers, wildlife enthusiasts and hikers.
Travel on up the famous Bealach Na Ba (Pass of the Cattle) and you'll find Applecross nestled between the mainland mountain masses and the Island of Skye. Stop here for lunch and enjoy incredible views of Skye and the Hebrides.
Driving ahead, make your way towards the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. This picturesque castle is set on the intersection of three lovely lochs and is rich in history. Enjoy the stunning sights and capture some fantastic photos for posterity!
After a stopover at the castle, you begin the drive along the shores of Loch Ness, and return to Inverness in the early evening where the tour comes to a close.
