Itinerary

Day 1: Agra - Taj Mahal and Agra Fort + Journey to Jaipur

Our day begins with a scenic drive along the impressive Yamuna Expressway, arriving at the historic city of Agra where we will visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. 

Taj Mahal: One of the seven wonders of the world and an iconic ‘Monument of Love’, the Taj Mahal leaves every single visitor a little breathless with its exquisite beauty and grandeur. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being "the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage". 

Agra Fort: The breathtaking Agra Fort was the official residence of the Mughal Dynasty (think everyone from Babur to Aurangzeb!) up to 1638 before the royal capital was shifted to Delhi. It is home to a bunch of historic sites inside, including the very popular Shish Mahal with its mirror mosaic work.

Post our memorable sightseeing, we will stop shortly for lunch before driving to Jaipur where we will stay for the night.

Day 2: Jaipur - Amer Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal + Return Journey to Delhi

Our final day begins early in the morning post breakfast as we head out to explore the gorgeous Pink City of Jaipur. 

Amer Fort: Overlooking the Maota Lake, the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage listed Fort displays strong influence of Mughal architecture, especially their use of red sandstone and marble. 

Hawa Mahal: Dating back to the late 18th century, Hawa Mahal is one of the most spectacular of the Rajput palaces. Extending into the Zenana or the women’s chamber, the 5-storey exterior which is made up of over 950 small windows or Jharokhas give the palace its iconic honeycomb appearance. 

City Palace: With an inception that is simultaneous with the origin of Jaipur, the City Palace was the administrative as well as ceremonial seat for Maharaja of Jaipur till as late as 1949. 

Jal Mahal: Sitting in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake, this one is a spectacle of Rajput architecture and makes for a one-of-kind sight to behold. 

Having deep dived into the grandeur of Rajput history, we will take some tie out for lunch post which we will begin our trip back to Delhi.
