Overview

Join us and on this full day tour of the ancient town of Tangier, just a short boat ride across the Straits of Gibraltar. Indulge in the exotic sights and sounds of this enchanting North African city.

The day begins when you are picked up from the hotel and taken on a scenic bus ride along the coast to the port of Tarifa. Here you will board the fast ferry across the Straits of Gibraltar to Tangier. Upon arrival you will visit the new city and its surroundings before stopping for a traditional Moroccan lunch of couscous or tagine.

After lunch you get to discover the Arabian delights of the Medina and the Kasbah. Here you have the opportunity to wander down the narrow streets and alleys and shop in the traditional shops and market stalls where you will experience a host of emotions as you take in the fragrances and colours of the produce, the spices and traditional local items on offer.

After your shopping and bartering adventure you once again board the coach for a panoramic tour of the city. Make sure you have your camera ready when you stop at the Cape of Spartel, where the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet; a point that has witnessed many naval battles. A visit to the Punico-Roman Necropolis, where tombs dating back to Roman times can be seen, is also included in the tour before once again boarding the ferry and sailing back to Spain.
