Tigre and Delta Tour

Enter a world that has changed little since the 1920s with a tour of Tigre, the locals' favourite weekend getaway. 

To experience the Delta is to appreciate the bounty of nature and realise that this unique corner of the world is impossible to overlook. To make this a reality, we’ll set off from Buenos Aires towards this natural wonderland and sail amongst its islands. The islanders’ way of life is very special; we’ll learn about their customs, culture and way of life.

You’ll sail for an hour along different rivers. Admire the panoramic views of the Delta whilst the audio guide tells you about the region and its features. You’ll be able to enjoy one of the favourite spots of many Argentine families and observe the unique lifestyle of the locals who live in the river Delta. Back at the port of Tigre, you’ll board our vehicle again and, along the way, we’ll visit places such as the fruit market (Puerto de Frutos), a sort of bazaar where locals buy household goods and you can find some authentic souvenirs, Avenida Victorica, the riverside promenade that runs alongside the River Luján, to reach the elegant gardens surrounding the Tigre City Council headquarters and the Tigre Art Museum.

Alongside it, there are bars, restaurants, steakhouses and ice-cream parlours that form a gastronomic hub where calm reigns, an atmosphere that mirrors the serenity conveyed by the unobstructed view of the river just a few steps from the centre of Tigre. 

Back in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, we will see River’s Monumental Stadium; the University City of Buenos Aires; and the constant stream of aircraft taking off and landing at the Metropolitan Airport.
