Overview

We set off from your hotel and make our way towards The Santa Susana ranch through the Argentinian “pampas” (plains). As you arrive at the Los Cardales based traditional ranch, you will be greeted with typical empanadas (pasties) and Argentinian wine.

Go on a guided tour to some of Santa Susana’s main attractions such as its museum and its church. Either sit yourself in the carriage as the horse trots along or hop on the horse and ride around exploring the grounds of the ranch, it’s up to you.

Back at the ranch, tuck into a delicious parrillada (Argentinian BBQ) lunch packed full of grilled specialities such as sausages and chicken, which are served alongside salad and a bunch of beverages like red or white wine, soft drinks, water and coffee). Then sip on a glass of mate (an Argentinian drink of yerba mate leaves steeped in hot water) and finish it off with a delicious pastelito (pastry)! During all of this, entertainment is on hand in the form of a tango and folklore show which is a fusion of classical music and dance, followed by a daring boleadoras show which comprises of throwing the weapons used by the gauchos.

When you’re done eating, the entertainment really goes to the next level as you watch the gauchos show off their incredible ranch skills. Be impressed by la sortija (a ring race), animal herding and the cuadreras race (a time-honoured gaucho game). When all is said and done you’ll be dropped back to Buenos Aires.
