Overview

Imagine a hospital, they aren’t the most inspiring of places from an architectural viewpoint. Step into the Sant Pau Art Nouveau, and you’ll wish every hospital looked like this.

In the early 1900s, visionary architect Domènech i Montaner built something radical. On the site of a medieval hospital, he designed a modern hospital that would provide patients with architectural and natural beauty that would help heal their spirits. The property comprises 16 pavilions with underground tunnels, and throughout you have mosaic art, coloured roof tiles and intricate arches. Courtyards of green, with flowers and trees. It’s a place referred to as a masterpiece. The building was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009.

You can make your own decision as you skip-the-line and get to explore this Barcelona masterpiece.
