The bright and colourful Casa Batllo, is inspired by nature, and is one of the jewels in Barcelona’s Crown. Gaudí considered every detail of his creation and exquisitely integrated ceramics, stained glass, wrought iron and woods into this piece. He also introduced new exotic mosaic techniques in the treatment of materials, such as trencadís which utilised wasted ceramic and incorporated it into the design.
The audio guide service at the Casa Batllo means you can explore the striking Modernist façade, with it’s intricate and refined architectural details, at ease and at your own pace. The house boasts stained glass windows along with intricate bannisters and liberating skylights, offering great views over the upscale Passeig de Gracia.

The Casa Batllo has great sensitivity to accessibility for people with disabilities. There are texts in Braille, in ten languages: Catalan, Spanish, French, English, Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Portuguese, available to blind people. To make the visit more accessible to blind people accompanying blind people are free.
