Overview

Visit the jungle landscape in the midst of the city at 2 museums. Start at the Jim Thomson House museum which is a complex of Thai style houses where collected from all parts of Thailand. The founder was an American who contributed to develop the Thai Silk industry that was awarded the Order of the White Elephant and renowned globally as Jim Thompson Thai Silk.

See the collections as well as Silk Loom and Silk Spool at the museum. Then visit The Suan Pakkad Palace, the first Royal owned museum in Thailand, on over two acres of land located in the centre of Bangkok. The museum consists of 8 Thai houses which display in differences fine pieces of items including music instruments, Royal family belongings, Buddha images, sculptures that made of clay, glassware, and silverware, several art forms, and the prehistoric arts. Some of the collection has the ages over 4,000 years old.
