Overview

Set out on a scenic drive from Avignon along picturesque roads through wild lavender fields to either Sault or Roussillon, depending on the flowering stage.

The quaint village of Sault affords stunning views of immense blue lavender fields alternating with fields of wheat while Roussillon set in a deep green pine forest with colorful old buildings and narrow medieval streets is every traveler’s delight!

Take pictures of the violet-colored fields, the picturesque hilltop village of Gordes and Senanque Abbey, the famous Cistercian church surrounded by delightful and romantic lavender fields!

Itinerary

Make your way to the designated meeting point. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will be taken along a picturesque road through wild lavender fields to Sault or Roussillon, depending on the flowering stage. There are many photo stops on this journey.

The pretty village of Sault is situated on the border of a great wooded plateau at a height of about 776 metres and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the stunning views of its lavender fields here or at Roussillon, depending on the flowering stage. Roussillon is a stunning village set in a deep green pine forest with the colorful old buildings and narrow medieval streets.

There will be a photo stop at a good vantage point to take pictures of the hilltop village of Gordes, considered one of the most picturesque villages in France. There will be another halt at Senanque Abbey to take pictures of the famous Cistercian church still ruled by monks and surrounded by lavender fields.”

After a memorable tour, your tour ends at the starting point.

    The last day to see the lavender in the fields before the final days harvest, museum was a good start, followed by quick photo stop at Gordes then off to find some...
