This trip really added to our experience of Sabah by giving us access to a less developed area of the country, a bit of an adventure with a turboprop plane trip to a little airport away from the main tourist areas and a whole day of interest. It is not as backwoods as we thought it would be; would have been happy to experience some discomfort but there was none!. The centre gave a good enducational intro to the work of the centre and the group was not too large for the visit to the feeding station. Plenty of time to watch and photograph and ask questions. Hazim our guide was brilliant and allowed us to add to the trip with a visit to the Forest Discovery Centre with it's sky walks and botanical gardens; amazing birdlife out above jungle. Hazim also introduced us to his friends around town and we were able to ask questions of local people, followed by children trying to practice English on us. Great local food at the English Tea House on the hill. A memorable part of our vacation.
We were only in Dubai for one full day. The Big Bus Tour gave us an opportunity to see most of the city - we would have needed a second day if we had wanted to explore the beach areas. The only problem we found was the fact that the bus stsops are not advertised! Apparently if the Dubai Government allowed Big Bus to advertise its sdtopping places, everyone else would want the same privilege. However, once we found a bus we simply stayed with it - getting off to visit the various places of interest, and tehn getting back on the next bus. The Museum is a "must see" and the Creek cruise was exceptional.
I am very afraid of heights but our tour guide made me feel very comfortable. It is one of the best experiences of my life.I have recommended it to all my family and friends and I cant stop talking about it.The scenery was the most stunning thing I have ever seen.I enjoyed it immensley and if I had the chance would most likely do it again. My family thoroughly enjoyed it too.
