To start your Valencia Bullring & Bullfighting Museum visit make your way to the Valencia Bullring ticket office where you will exchange your voucher for the Plaza Toros de Valencia and Bullfighting Museum entrance tickets.
The Plaza Toros de Valencia is located at the heart of Valencia and is the iconic place where the best bullfighters of the world have displayed their art. Built in the 19th century the Bull ring resembles the Colosseum in Rome. You will visit the arena, the alley, the doors, the chapel and the infirmary, where wounded matadors are treated.
Next, you will head to the Bullfighting Museum (Museo Taurino). The museum was founded in 1929 and houses historical objects related to the art of bullfighting from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The complete collection has over 2,500 artefacts which consist of architectural models, paintings and photographs, films and traditional tools for bullfighting. You will also be fascinated to see the intricately designed costumes worn by the matadors.
From August 2015, you will be given an audio guide along with your ticket. During your visit to the ring and the museum, discover the place at their own pace, discovering its corners and history following the route marked, from the Museum and the Chapel, until the Great Gate. Your audio guide will be available in 7 languages (Spanish, English, Italian, French, German, Russian and Chinese).
