However many photos you have seen of Niagara, nothing can prepare you for the power and glory of the real thing. Hear the thundering roar as 600,000 gallons of water per second pour over the great cliffs in foaming torrents. View and photograph the mighty cascade from above and below.
Take an awesome boat ride to the very base of the Falls and feel the wind-driven spray on your face.
Your fun day out also includes a scenic drive through the Niagara peninsula and a visit to a local winery.
For your Niagara Falls 1 Day Coach Trip from Toronto you will be picked up from your hotel in downtown Toronto and taken to the tour starting point at the Toronto Coach Terminal. If you are staying at an airport hotel, you must make your own way to the Terminal at 610 Bay St. at Dundas West.
You will board a luxurious, air-conditioned motor coach and travel through the attractive countryside of the Niagara Peninsula. As you drive along, your professional driver/guide will introduce you to the sights and sounds of the Niagara Region.
When you arrive at Niagara Falls you will be dropped off at the foot of Clifton Hill and will then have time to enjoy the Falls in your own way.
You can explore Clifton Hill’s ‘Street of Fun’ which offers an exciting array of shops and restaurants as well as an entertainment complex. It also has a selection of experiences such as giant wheel and an 18-hole mini-golf adventure (none of these attractions are included in your tour price).
Your tour does include a trip on the world-famous Maid of the Mist passenger vessel. Climb aboard for a thrilling 30-minute journey into the dense clouds of spray at the foot of Horseshoe Falls. Maid of the Mist is North America's oldest tourist attraction; millions of visitors have enjoyed the boat tours since 1846. Hooded raincoats are provided for all passengers and you are certain to need them. The wind-driven mist at the base of the falls will take your breath away.
If the Maid of the Mist boat ride is unable to operate due to adverse weather conditions, then the IMAX Theater or 'Journey Behind the Falls' will be substituted (see the Additional Information section on this website).
On the way back to Toronto, you will make a stop at the Floral Clock on Niagara Parkway. This popular feature is maintained by the Niagara Parks horticulture staff. The attractive designs on the clock face are created with up to 16,000 carpet bedding plants and are changed twice a year.
You will travel through the historic and picturesque community of Niagara-on-the-Lake with a stop at a local winery.
The tour returns to the original starting point after approximately 10 hours.
Complimentary pick-up service is not available from Toronto airport hotels. If you are staying at an airport hotel, you must make your own way to the Toronto Coach Terminal in downtown Toronto
The Journey Behind the Falls or IMAX Theatre is substituted when the Maid of the Mist is not operating
