Take a day out to cover four of the most distinct attractions in the capital city of Seoul! Starting from the oldest and largest of the Five Grand Palaces of Seoul and its popular museum, you are taken to one of the most important Buddhist temples in Korea and finally to the official residence of the South Korean head of state.
Gyeongbokgung Palace
Enter this impressive palace through the enormous Gwanghwamun gate and admire the splendor of Gyeongbokgung Palace, arguably the most beautiful of all five palaces in Korea. Also referred to as the ‘Northern Palace’ due to its strategic location, this is a popular spot for taking selfies and indulging in photo shoots in traditional Korean dresses!
Korean Folklore Museum
Located inside the Gyeongbokgung Palace itself, this museum houses over 4,000 historical artifacts that were used by the ordinary Korean people in their day to day lives. Learn about the domestic and agricultural lifestyles in the yesteryears and gain a deep insight into Korea’s cultural belief system.
Jogseya Temple
Explore Jogseya Temple, a central symbol of Korean Buddhism. Check out the grand statue of historical Buddha and the colourful stately building of The Daeungjeon that is always filled with the soothing sounds of chanting. Enjoy the lush sights of the lovely locust trees and baeksong trees around the temple’s main hall and feel the pious atmosphere of the surroundings.
Presidential Office(Blue House)
Finally, visit the Presidential Office, the executive office of the President of the Republic of Korea. Also called the Blue House due to its striking blue tiles, its unique buildings are comprised of the Main Office, Guest House, Chunchugwan (Spring and Autumn Pavilion), Nokjiwon (Green grass), the Mugunghwa (Rose of Sharon) Valley, and the Seven Palaces.
