Experience a diverse and exciting group of bars while learning about and tasting the best of Philadelphia's craft beers from regional breweries and microbreweries.
A beer at each stop is included in your tour and Happy Hour adventure, as well as a snack along the way.
The Philadelphia Beer Tour is a wonderful introduction to Philly’s famous craft beers. To join the tour, make your way to the Dilworth Park, outside of the café, corner of 15th St. and JFK Blvd. (20 North 15th St.) where your local guide will be waiting.
The tour begins at the very heart of modern Philadelphia, City Hall. As you leave this popular meeting place, you’ll discover some of the sights and sounds of Philadelphia as people are concluding their work day.
Like many others at this time of day, you will head to the first “Happy Hour” destination. You will visit some of the most unique, most typical, and most popular drinking establishments in the City. You’ll have the option to visit the oldest continuously operating bar in Philadelphia (dating back to 1860), a classic dive bar, an Irish pub with local flair, a modern beer café, and many other neighborhood bars and pubs.
The brewpubs on the tour vary from day to day but the places you might visit include the following:
• The oldest continuously operating bar in the City dating back to 1860.
• A place where they make their own beer just steps away from your table.
• An Irish pub with a local flair, as well as many other bars and pubs so popular with Philadelphians.
At each location, your guide will tell you the history of these bars, why they are so popular, and why locals crave a unique and authentic setting to enjoy food and drinks with friends, family, and co-workers.
One drink at each bar is included with the tour, as well as a pub or street snack — the perfect accompaniment for your Philadelphia beer. And the bars we visit all have one thing in common: a taste for Philadelphia's local craft beers and breweries! You'll quickly find out why Philadelphia is one of America's best beer cities, and learn the names and tastes of places such as Philadelphia Brewing Co., Victory, Yards, Troegs, Flying Fish, Sly Fox, Dogfish Head, Nodding Head, and Dock Street Brewing Co.
