  • Overview & Itinerary
    Overview

Full of spectacular artworks and treasures from antiquity, the Louvre is one of the world’s greatest museums. But the sheer size and richness of the collection can be daunting.

With this helpful audio-guide (in nine languages) you can make the most of your visit. A map with a choice of itineraries will help you find the artworks that interest you most.

Step back into antiquity and view treasures like the Seated Scribe or the Venus de Milo. Marvel at the explosion of creativity in the Renaissance with Michelangelo’s Slaves and of course Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. See 19th French masterpieces like Ingres’ La Grande Odalisque and Géricault’s The Raft of the Medusa.

Save your time for the artworks! This is a premium service with skip-the-line access, which lets you enter without waiting in long queues. As such the price you pay includes a reservation fee for this.

Note: This tour does not operate on the first Sunday of every month.

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised activity to reconfirm.

You need to provide the full name of every individual at the time of booking. To eliminate the risk of fraud, each of you entering the museum need to present the ID card as proof of identity. Failing to provide any supporting document as your identity proof, you will be denied access to the museum.

Once you have collected your tickets and audio guide the fastest access will be from the entrance which is down stairs (basement), in the inverted Pyramid hall (note if you join any other queue you will be waiting with people who need to buy tickets and therefore the wait time could be very long).

Due to renovations, Mona Lisa will be shifted to Galerie Médicis (room 801) on level 2 of the Richelieu wing from 17 July till mid-October 19.

Audio guide with recorded commentary for the Louvre Museum: a deposit of 32 euros per audioguide will be required at the agency upon the departure. You will need to return the audioguide at the agency at the end of the tour, the deposit will then be given back to you.

Children below 18 years are free to enter the Museum, the charge levied is for the audio guide.

The Louvre Museum closes at 10pm on Wednesday and Friday and at 6pm on other open days.

    • Delivered just what we wanted, eg entry without queuing, guided selection of important exhibits, easy view of Mona Lisa (due to early arrival) etc.

One problem was arriving without cash for deposit for audio guides. Used debit card instead and same sum was deposited and reimbursed - but lost £4.77 on bank charges and currency cost...
